U bolts are metal bars shaped like the letter “U” and threaded at the end of each arm. The threaded ends are designed to receive securing nuts. They are used to secure leaf springs, ring bolts and shackles. They work by sitting around and clamping an object within the “U” shape and attaching to a surface with the help of the securing nuts.Stronger than routing clamps and hangers, U-bolts support heavy pipe, tube, and conduit from ceilings, walls, and poles. 304 stainless steel U-bolts have excellent corrosion resistance and good chemical resistance. 316 stainless steel U-bolts have excellent corrosion and chemical resistance.
